Willenken Attorneys Give Litigation Tips and Tricks in CLE Presentations
Willenken Wilson Loh & Delgado LLP attorneys conducted two CLE presentations on September 13, 2018 as part of the firm’s sponsorship of the Association of Corporate Counsel (“ACC”).
Partner Paul Loh led a session with local counsel Kevin Murch (Perez & Morris LLC), Megan Frient (The Procter & Gamble Company), and Sara Sudkamp (The Kroger Co.) for the ACC Southwest Ohio Chapter at MadTree Brewing Company in Cincinnati, OH. The presentation, titled “Primer for Successful Litigation Management: 10 Ways Experienced Trial Counsel Can Help Your Company Obtain an Optimal and Efficient Settlement Without Going to Trial,” explained how the best way to settle a case favorably is not by preparing to settle, but by preparing to go to trial. The event concluded with a social hour and brewery tour, as well as a souvenir pint glass for attendees.
Partners Eileen Ahern and Megan O’Neill and Senior Associate Justin Goodwin were joined by local counsel Marian Vetro (T-Mobile) for their presentation at the ACC Washington Chapter 2nd Annual Business Summit in Redmond, WA. One of seven presentations during the full-day conference, “The In-House Counsel’s Consumer Class Action Defense Checklist” offered ways for in-house counsel to minimize both exposure and disruption to a client’s business when faced with their next class action. Attendees received a tangible checklist, along with practical tips regarding strategies to consider and common pitfalls to avoid.
