Appellate Practice

True appellate advocacy requires specialized procedural knowledge, a commitment to producing written work of the highest quality, finely-honed oral presentation skills, and a thorough understanding of the trial and appellate process.  Clients engage our lawyers to handle appeals or write amicus curiae briefs precisely because of these qualities in our attorneys.

In addition, our clients have also found invaluable that several of our attorneys have a true “insider’s” perspective on the appellate process, having served as clerks, including for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.

Our appellate attorneys regularly practice in federal and state appellate courts and have successfully handled a broad range of appeals of judgments, including appearing before the United States Supreme Court.

Recent successes include successfully obtaining an affirmance of a $9.4 million judgment in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, affirmance of our winning motion for summary judgment at the district court level, affirmance of a trial victory, and an affirmance of a successful trial court demurrer.
