W. Scott Norton brings 20 years of diverse commercial litigation experience to the Willenken Firm. A native of Los Angeles, Scott is a 1985 graduate of Loyola Law School, where he was a Scott Moot Court finalist.
Scott cut his teeth collecting judgments from deadbeat debtors under the byzantine strictures of the Enforcement of Judgments Act. He subsequently spent 11 years at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP litigating complex commercial matters, including lender liability disputes arising out of derivative "swap" agreements, as well as securities class action lawsuits under federal and state anti-fraud provisions.
Scott has prosecuted several state and federal court appeals and co-authored articles on appellate practice. For the past twenty years, he has also served as corporate counsel to a family-owned business ($10 million in annual sales).
Scott also works closely with numerous pro-bono organizations, including the Los Angeles County Bar in its LRIS program, the Alliance for Children's Rights in low income guardianship proceedings and the Independent Feature Project in securing funding for young filmmakers.
